One of my favorite quotes ever:
"The power of accurate observation is frequently called cynicism by those who don't have it."
-George B. Shaw
I get a weird look whenever i quote this. Hmm, I wonder why?
Maybe because people are just always happy, right? They look at me like it's mean-hearted to be pessimistic sometimes.
Shut-up.
I'm not saying I'm some dark cloud, I'm saying that people have dark feelings a lot of the times, and instead of rejecting them like they don't exist, they should accept that they do and do what they will with them then.
But if you ever meet someone who always puts those feelings away and tell you they're some big ball of fun and good times, odds are they're trying way to hard to be someone their not. It's refreshing to meet someone with a little bit of a grim side.
I don't like a**holes. There is a difference between having a little pessimistic side and being a douche-bag. Sometimes, I can be kind of a douche, but I'm working on it. If I want to get into the business I want, I'm going to have to get along with people better. But that's the problem! So many people are stupid and superficial and I can't stand it. I have little patience for people like that, which is a lot of people! I'm just looking deeper into people, hence the Shaw quote.
